We have a rock fireplace in the middle of our house. One side is a rock wall. My little girl has lived here her whole life. Today she's decided its a good idea to climb up the rock wall. But, she doesn't want to do it first. She wants to convince her friend to go first and then it will be her turn. What's the greatest thing about climbing the rock wall I ask? "Touching the ceiling of course Mommy!"
Silly little girl!
Today was such a lovely day . . . I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves!
It has snowed! While in most places this isn't a big deal, here in Seattle the threat of snow causes the world to stop. They have been predicting snow on Wednesday for several days. Yesterday, I was among the thousands at the grocery store (the parking lot was completely full!) picking up a few essentials to tide us over for a few days. Garbage pick-up was cancelled, schools, activities, most work places are all closed.
So, we're home. Doing a lot of inside activities. Reading, playing kitchen, roaring trains around the track, singing, dancing and loving an unexpected day to play with my family.
It turns out that Alexander loves the snow. He would stay outside figuring out the physics of snow until his hands fell off due to frost bite. Dora on the other hand has no desire to even look at the snow. I managed to take her outside to see it but she got really upset.
Here are a few pictures of our adventure today. I'm very thankful that when it snows here the world stops. Having an extra day to play has been a wonderful thing!
